If you are asking users of your icons to not edit your icons and to credit you, perhaps it would be a novel idea to credit the original doujinshi artist/ring by listing the name of the doujin and the artist/ring in the credits of this post.

Oh, yes. You should. You definitely should. Perhaps if you don't know who to credit, poor little you shouldn't crop and edit somebody else's artwork. Perhaps if poor little you doesn't have the name of the doujin circle you're cropping and editing from, poor little you shouldn't be demanding others credit and not edit 'your' work. Unless, of course, your day job is Internets Hypocrite. Then, by all means...
