Doctor Recalls Abortion Complications Before Roe v. Wave. "It is important to remember that Roe v. Wade did not mean that abortions could be performed. They have always been done, dating from ancient Greek days."

I cannot explain how much it depresses me whenever I read something about guns in America. It especially depresses me when I'm reminded ( Read more... )

lol, okay, so I wrote my boy's latest post before reading this, and I'm now highly amused at the very different way the two of you have to react to the vote in four months. He's being as hopeful about it as he is about, say, a Serenity sequel, while you're much more down to earth and 'this is potentially very bad'. It's very... right. You know?

Also I found the Skins extract you mentioned, with Maxxie getting the pants off of that guy when Michelle couldn't? It's an unseen, so it's only up on YouTube. And it rocks. Heee! There is so much extra material on YouTube, it's awesome. Deleted scenes, character video diaries, micro-scenes on what happened between the two series. It rocks.

...I might have given in and ordered the dvds off of Play.

Apart from the fact the principle of it is so very wrong and I wish somebody would point it out, the fact Californians are going to vote on same-sex marriage doesn't depress me all that much. What really depresses me is the thought of the religious right campaigning in favor of the amendment and all the fucked-up, misleading scare techniques that they're going to use. :( I think anyone who's been politically active in that field can't help but be down to earth - in the U.S. we've lost many, many, many more battles than we've won.

It's going to be such a satisfying punch in their face if California rejects this amendment, though.

And yay! Glad to hear I didn't totally make it up. I loved it! And now I'm hoping your DVDs will arrive before I do so I can steal the series from you! mwah ha ha! ...I didn't mean to use so many exclamation points.

Can I just tell you how much I love your posts and your rants? I do even though I don't comment a lot!

I am appalled at our government trying to interfere with the PERSONAL LIVES of its citizens and I will vote AGAINST that amendment. I live in Los Angeles. The government has no right to tell people who they can and can not marry so long as they are consenting adults. I'm so annoyed over it all.

lol, thank you. I'm always kind of afraid people end up turned off by my ranting around so it's glad to hear you actually enjoy them ( ... )
