I was hoping you'd post about this episode! I would've done so myself, had I not been too tired last night.
I agree with you word for word, dude. ; )
What I want revealed first is the shady treacherous uncle who is feeding Morgana information! I'm really curious to see how they pull off the reveal of who Merlin fully is! Will they do it all in one huge reveal, or will they first work on Arthur forgiving magic?
I totally blame Gaius too. What's up with him really? First, the way he treated Morgana that definitely contributed to her turning villain. And then stuff like this, with the charm!
As much as I didn't want Merlin's plan to backfire, I also just knew it was about time they move the story along and kill Uther.
Only other thing I want to add is that part at Arthur's coronation where it takes a moment before Merlin joins the cheering. I thought that was a poignant touch.
Things are moving at a fair rate of knots! I wonder when Arthur gets Excalibur?
Yes, it's annoying that Gaius didn't tell Arthur about the charm. You don't always know best, old coot! Arthur would still be ambivalent about magic, but he would trust "Dragoon the Great." Dragoon is funny. It was great when Dragoon told Arthur off for intending to let Merlin walk back to Camelot.
But Gaius partly to blame for Morgana turning evil? No, she made a choice to turn on people who'd only ever loved her: Arthur and Gwen, and those who'd done her no harm: the knights and the people of Camelot.
On a trivial note - I dislike the way the make-up people have done Arthur's hair: brushed from the back and flat.
I'm not sure how they'll work Excalibur in, since Arthur doesn't have to prove he's king by pulling it out. It'll be interesting though.
It would have been really interesting if they had done that and then Arthur could go to Dragoon sometimes for advice. Wah. Want.
No, it's her decision ultimately, I know. But Gaius chose not to tell her she had magic. He didn't help teach her how to control it, or that there were dangers like he does with Merlin. She's left alone to figure this out, terrified that Uther would have her killed. It's a frustrating position, and I really don't blame Morgana at all. I understand her.
I like it in some scenes, and in others, I keep wanting to fluff it up more.

Yes! Also, I want to know how Agravaine and Morgana met up in the first place. I suspect he really wants the throne for himself frankly.
You'd think they'd work on the forgiving, and I really hoped that was where the episode was going. *sigh*
I have no idea why they're not telling him about the charm. It's ridiculous.
Yeah, he has to die eventually.
Yes! That was...*happy sigh* That whole last bit was just lovely.
