wacky! out of curiosity, if you guys never recorded or played out, how did that song become a classic?

Good question...

Our bassist Goph wrote the song in early 1982; my sole contribution was the chords to the chorus.

After we split in Sept 1982, Goph was in a bunch of other NYC hardcore bands, Antichrist Newsboys the most prominent, and he played "I Hate Holidays" in all of them, and somehow it became a standard of sorts. I didn't find this out until a few years ago. A few bands play it now (and one, The Slumlords, recorded a version), but they usually assume it's an Antichrist Newsboys song.
