Y SO AWESOME> ;_;

You mixed history and geometry so perfectly. I wanted to comment yesterday night but I couldnt. However I did save two icons right away.

The coloured one - I love the space and the composition of this! She's so teeny and she looks dwarfed by the whole castle.

Shadows - Dude. Me and this icon. Insta Love and together forever. I love it so much and I love the text over her eyes as well as the subtle shadows.

Now for my other favoruites :

Slicing - The colouring. <3

Inspiration - Colours. And texture. <3

I love the fourth AC one. Love the composition. It's so unusual.

Lovely batch! (Kirsten Dunst is SO adorable. I kinda want to pinch her cheeks)

I had a super awesome reply to this but then that stupid 500 error popped up and I got super sad. So here it goes again...

THANK YOU SO MUCH! This response from you has me feeling so wonderful right now. I'm always happy to get a reply, but when they are so nice and specific about certain icons, it makes me feel 10x happier!

The coloured one took me forever to get right. I wanted to use the right texture(s), so luckily 24_amends had some great ones I could try out and settle on. Not to get all history lesson on you, but Marie is one of my favorite historical characters. She was a 15 year old girl thrown into the vast and scary world of the French Court, so that scene is one of my favorites as she truly is dwarfed by her new home. ♥ I am so happy you love shadows. You have my blessing to be together forever. ;p Like I told library_of_sex, I liked that icon a lot, but was worried it would look too weird to other people. Her cheeks sort of puff out (A. it was how she looked in the cap, and B. the shadow/layering effect is in use.) like a chipmunk almost. LOL ( ... )

Awe, thanks so much dear! Textures have taken over my iconing life. LOL! It's hard not to get inspired by them. (I go hunting for great textures. It's like shopping!) ♥ Now I need to go get to work on my Gemma Arterton icons! (I hope you can still enter!)

Wow! Thank you so much! Your textures are far from shabby. 10 was by far the weirdo of the bunch (aside from 4 which I think is a bit psychotic) but I'm so glad you like it!

Again, thank you so much for leaving a comment. ♥

These are so gorgeous!!! I think this might be my favorite of your batches yet. The colors are gorgeous, the texture usage and composition are so creative, and the text, which, IMO, is the hardest part of icon making, is clever and well-placed, especially in 10, which is so, so perfect. The gorgeous lightness that you got into this icon is brilliant, and, seriously, since when is icon text not only clever but also an astutely worded political statement ( ... )

Aw, thank you! It was a fun set to do (as much pain and tears as it gave me) because the themes were so much fun to do! Geometry and a movie like this was a real challenge. Text is hard (and as you know, my personal struggle) so to hear that everyone has liked my text in this set makes me feel +1 in confidence with text. 10 was my weird icon (I made most of these icons while watching the film) and I made it towards the end of the film when Marie is being spoken to about her lack of funds for the people. She was the Queen of Debt, but I think she met an end that was not deserved. Now, politics aside, thank you! LOL ( ... )
