14 Valentines

So I had actually intended to do more for 14valentines this year, but it turns out that moving while attending uni is fairly stressful. Who knew, right?

Today is Arts and Entertainment Day. I think in stories, I remember stories, so this is an issue that's important to me.

Archer's Goon was my first encounter with magical realism and though I didn't connect the book to DWJ until a good fifteen years later, part of the credit for making me a fan of the genre undeniably goes to her. I should catch up with more of her writing, but of the stuff I've read as a supposed grown-up, I really enjoyed Fire and Hemlock. Can't beat the first love, though.

And coincidentally, I've just seen for myself what Adam Beechen did to Cass that has the comics peeps demanding for his head on a plate. DNW, Jesus. That piece of fanart is fantastic and makes me feel better. <3

I like those two too! I think the first book of hers I read was Charmed Life, and as a result I love the Chrestomanci. :D

I like to pretend that Cassie has not appeared since Destruction's Daughter. Lalalala-can'thearyou-lalalala. Egypt is beautiful this time of year!
