SGA 4x04: Doppelganger
So "Doppelganger" was the episode I was looking most forward to out of the first half of the episodes this season.

I think it has, what with Reunion and the TMI shot of Elizabeth's brain in Adrift.
I also liked the "WHY DID YOU TOUCH THAT?!" moment which, as many other fen have pointed out, runs ramapant in SGA fan fic.
After something like that it becomes difficult to believe the writers don't read fanfic ;)
Yes, John's dream was a very good insight into the character IMHO. Because he would have this fear of not being up to the task after getting his current position through the death of his CO. Dr. Weir's confidence in him probably never quite erased his doubts so it was nice to see this shown in this episode.
It was so brutal when all his friends came and told him how he'd let them down. Poor, poor John.
