I read The Art of Wishing and really liked it! I wasn't happy with the ending either, but we'll see where the trilogy takes the story.

I was kind of hoping it'd be a stand-alone book, but at the same time wishing for trilogy because I liked the author's writing style, but ugh, the ending.

It probably would've been higher quality if it was a stand-alone, I think. But you've got to continue the story somehow with the trilogy, so I get it. Like, I'm happy that we're getting more from the author, but I'd be happier if she developed other ideas instead of sticking with this one!

Also, I haven't read either Pandemonium or Requiem yet, but I sort of feel that if Delirium had finished differently with some kind of resolution, I'd have been happier with that as a stand-alone too. Same deal.

Good to know that I Am Not a Serial Killer was creepy, yet satisfying; that and Partials are still on my to-read list.

I'm currently reading Beautiful Creatures to see what the fuss is about, and I'm greatly amused since I live veeeeery close to that part of South Carolina where Gaitlin is supposed to be (pretty sure it's supposed to be in the same county where I live, just the northern end). So I'm like, hey, I recognize these places Ethan's listing!

I need more people to read Dan Wells! The Partials series needs to get all the hype the rest of the crapola dystopian section gets.

Beautiful Creatures is a series I have mixed feelings about. I like, but Lena is annoying until the last book and I'm mainly in love with the setting and Ethan's narration.
