Loved the last bit too. Sneakily slipping in some Raico I see. No complaints here.
Although one bit that threw me off a little was this:
Olivia and Warren Dare had been young, arrogant, and foolish when they’d struck that deal with the gods, only thinking of themselves.
It's just that for the first half of the chapter, though it's a third person narrative it seems very Rachel-point-of-view-ish. Then it suddenly changes and seems more omniscient narrative-ish. I think it might be just me though. After reading it a few more times it flows more naturally but that was my initial reaction.
