The ONLY good fic I've found is the "Quite Peculiar" series- it's on FFN, not sure if it's on LJ anywhere.

Yes, that is a good one! I found one that was a Behemoth sequel-ish thing that was rather good as well.

Same with The "Iron Fey" series and "Of Two Minds". Some books just don't get the fandom they deserve.

Yeah, that's unfortunate. Book fandoms are just so small to begin with, unless if you've latched onto one of the exceptions like HP or Twilight. :(

I haven't read them. Are they better than Howl's Moving Castle?

They're very different than Howl's Moving Castle, and the quality varies across the series. The best one is The Lives of Chistopher Chant and the second best is Charmed Life. Witch Week and Conrad's Fate are good, while Magicians of Caprona is okay, and Pinhoe Egg is atrocious and ruins all the earlier books. Conrad's Fate shouldn't be read before Lives of Christopher Chant and Pinhoe Egg shouldn't be read at all before Charmed Life, but otherwise you can read them in any order you'd like.
