I think Rachel's pretty much a guarantee since she's the Oracle, and Riordan's said in interviews that Percy and Annabeth will be back as well, although who knows how much they'll be involved.
Nico needs to be heavily involved, or I will be so disappointed.
I'm worried he'll kill off my fave characters, but Riordan wouldn't be so evil to do that after he game them their HAPPY ENDING in the last book. Or would he...
omg the possibility that he'd kill someone didn't even enter MY MIND until you said that. NOW I'M EVEN MORE NERVOUS. I'm just waiting til you guys read it and spoil me and then I will decide whether or not I can invest myself emotionally in this. (FACT: I'm already invested, but I'm in denial, so don't tell me I said that.)
juxtaposie and I have already had several conversations about either Percy or Annabeth having to live without the other and it didn't end well either way. I really hope he doesn't do that. Although he did also say once that Percy's story is complete. I... oh god. Between this and FMA being at its climax, I am just overwrought.
I don't think he'd kill Percy or Annabeth off (at least not right away, anyway). He spent too much time giving them a happy ending to fuck around like that. I agree, I don't think Percy or Annabeth would do very well if one of them died quite suddenly. I think the only saving grace, especially Percy, would be a kid, but it would just be misery all around.
But yea, I was totally stoked when I saw Rick Riordan tweet about the title and the release date being 10 days earlier!! Kind of sad the series is gonna feature strangers though. I have a tough time letting go of the old and welcoming the new (plus, come on... I don't want to lose my Percabeth) but usually when I do, I'm happy I did. So we'll see!
I hope at least one of the minor main characters like Nico will be one of the seven demigods because it'd be nice to have the familiar face for a transition. Plus I just want more Nico in canon in general, lol.
Hmm, I doubt Nico will be one of the 7 demigods. I mean, cool if he is and it would sort of make sense for him to be, but I dunno. We'll just have to see.
As far as Nico in canon goes, I think think you're doing a pretty good job at carrying on his story in Death's Dare. Granted that's not actually canon, but it's close enough as far as I'm concerned. I actually stayed up until 4am last night finishing it. I've never read a multi-chapter fan fiction straight through like that before, well... nothing over 4 chapters, but I couldn't bring myself to look away from the screen for a minute. I still can't believe I read 50,187 words of fan fiction in one sitting. I'm expecting my optometrist to lay it on me the next time I go in for a visit, heh. Oh, and of course I plan on giving you proper reviews for each chapter, um... whenever I get around to it. :)

But the big question is not who is the lost hero but will Percy, Annabeth, Nico and Rachel all be back?
Also that gif is adorable.

I forgot about this for a moment.

This is good. I've missed them and all the crazy that comes with them.

THIS. I will cry salty tears if Nico does not feature heavily in this book.
