I just read an article about how furniture has been getting taller and wider as Americans have. This is absolutely reasonable!  However, if this keeps up, I fear that within the next 20 years I will be unable to find an office chair or a couch that doesn't make me look and feel like a little kid with my feet dangling.  The chair that came "standard

Meanwhile, as you might expect, I often have the exact opposite problem with furniture--I need a chair that is rather tall and either rather wide or without armrests. Clearly more diversity in both directions is needed on the supply side.
