I have had a lovely long weekend filled with great food and greater people and I have things to say about all that but I just don't have words at the moment, just dreamy sighs.

It's been crazy unseasonably warm for the last couple of days. I mean fifty degrees in January, crazy shit. Time goes by far to quickly as of late. I miss vacation and not having the feeling that there is no way I'm going to be able to do all that I want to do in one day. or even a week. Today was one of those days that I felt like I ought to have been having really deep thoughts or writing something profound and beautiful. The new green leaves against the wet tree trunks out my window looked so bright they didn't seem possible, like all the world was a movie and the color'd been messed with.

The wind's been howling all day, really howling. I keep thinking there's some gigantic truck bearing down on me but it's just the air. Today is the sort of day where the colors are so bright they don't seem possible, range and yellow and red and green against sky that can't possibly be that blue, but it is.
