I've spent most of the morning waiting for clients to send me materials so I can work on, well, anything. I'm waiting on everyone and it is annoying. *sigh ( Read more... )

I'm glad to see someone else enjoying the Ben Edlund eps. There's been so much bitching on my flist about "too much humor" and not enough hugging and crying. WTF? Obviously these people know nothing about 1) men and 2) how brothers interact. I thought the funny eps were the best brother-interaction eps because they felt exactly like how guys (esp. brothers) talk to each other and treat each other. I've got no problem with a little angst on the show, but sometimes they're way too emotional in my opinion. Whatever.

Hi! I hope your work comes through soon.

Yes! This exactly. I mean, I'm a big fan of the man tears and blood (to the point where I have RL not fandom friends who tease me about it) but it's always best when there's humor in there too. That's why I love the Edlund eps, he has the perfect mix of both. Monster Movie is definitely my favorite eps so far this season (haven't seen last night's but I'm guessing it's not going to top MM).

It did! I've been working away happily since just before noon.

Hi. HI!

Speaking of love. I have been loving Friday Night Lights to tiny little bits

Me too! Matt & Julie are so great! And the damn show has made me cry, a lot, and to be nostlgic (Smash and Street are gone? What?) The show is really beginning to have that S1 feel, which I love.

The S1 feel. Yes. I've been thinking the same thing and I love it too. I do miss Smash a whole lot though but I like JD and his story line a whole lot so I guess you have to take the good with the bad.

FNL has been phenomenal. Glad you've continued on with the Dexter love, I've only watched 3 eps of S3 but I've got them all lined up waiting for whenever I have time.

I think the boys on SPN are over the top emotional far too much of the time and I've really enjoyed the distance between them this season because it feels more real. So many of the fangirls are bemoaning the lack of bonding, but for the first time it really feels natural to me.

::shrugs::

FNL FTW

I really really has. Me too! For a while there I was wondering if I was going to find any more shows that I would fall totally in love with right away so I'm really glad I have. I've been stocking up on S3 for the express purpose of watching a whole bunch of it at once once I finished S2. It if rains all day Sat. like the weather predicts and we don't get to finish building the shed that totally what T and I are going to do.

I have had many an "I don't get it" thought about people's ep reactions this year. Monster Movie is my favorite so far and that's the one I've seen the most hate for. Mostly I don't read reactions anymore, though. But that's part of why I'm confused about why I'm not so into it 'cause I find the lessening of over the top emotions rather refreshing. *also shrugs*

INDEED!

I am also rewatching season 2 of Torchwood and stuck at From Out of the Rain. Alas overtime at work and school demands have interfered with my TW time, but I'm hoping to like FOOTR better upon a second viewing. I promised myself I wouldn't skip on ahead to Adrift, but it's very tempting!

I actually ended up watching it last night and I did like it slightly better than the first time around. It's still not a great episode but there is a lot of nice Jack and Ianto interaction that I hadn't remembered. Definite hints of what's to come in Adrift.
