long enough to say my words to you

Lately I feel like I'm in a time warp more and more. This is either a function of getting older or reading too much Doctor Who and Torchwood fic and therefore thinking about time travel all the damn time. For instance: How the hell did it get to be after one o'clock already?

Fall leaves and rusty things: a random collection of photos from the last couple weeks )

*stares* Those pumpkin fields seem so alien to me; we have nothing like them in the UK.

Your photographs are as gorgeous as always! I especially like the last one, with the leaves curled around each other. And the Doctor print! Hee!

Alien pumpkins!

You don't have pumpkin fields? But don't you have pumpkins? To be fair that isn't a totally normal pumpkin field. That's where they place them for people to come "pick" their own but the pumpkins are actually grown one field over. When I asked the farmer why he did it like that he said that when they used to let people go into the field where the pumpkins were grown he got lots of complaints from the "city folk" (as he put it) about how the pumpkin vines were prickly.

Thank you, thank you. I amused myself greatly with the Doctor print. :D

I think we tend to grow them in huge sheds because our summers are too wet. Although, I just googled "UK pumpkin fields" (you've got me curious now!) and apparently there's a large one in West Sussex, which is the next county over from me. I think I'm going to have to go exploring. :D
