I have had a lovely long weekend filled with great food and greater people and I have things to say about all that but I just don't have words at the moment, just dreamy sighs.

The other night I dreamt that I showed up at this conference thing and there was a publication attached and somehow, unbeknownst to me, in addition to my scholarly article they had found and included THREE pieces of fanfic/meta by me, all of which were about Captain Tightpants. ???????

So, your brain is telling you to write about Mal then? That wouldn't be a bad thing.

When I was watching the special edition commentary Joss was going on about Mal and Inara and how their fighting is the core of their relationship and how they're so good at it (when he wasn't going on about his gigantic mancrush on Nathan). Then there's an extended scene of Mal talking to Inara on the wave.

It made me all nostalgic for Mal and Inara and that Christmas when we watched all the original extras and had to keep stopping the movie to plot out fic. Which just adds to the Firefly nostalgia I was already having from all the Mal and Jack Harkness as Browncoats together thoughts I've been having lately.

I feel like there is Firefly nostalgia going on in the collective unconscious lately. Maybe it is a sign.
