I'm amused at how the moral of "Mad Men" seems to be that men are pathetic. The women have some pretty big issues too, but it's really just stunning how emotionally malformed, self-absorbed and juvenile all the men on the show are, each in their own, special, pathetic way. It's like an office full of 6th graders in suits, with the women holding

I'm unimpressed by a series that takes over a month to "warm up," but it is doing well enough ratings-wise in spite of that, and I guess if you're J.J. Abrams, people don't like to tell you know. I'll give it another chance. Maybe.

Heroes...probably not.

Our small household has had a very nasty breakup with Heroes. But the more I hear about Mad Men, the more inclined I am to check it out.

I will be so, so glad when your election is over. Preferably with good results (unlike ours >.<).

Mad Men isn't for everybody, but the people who like it, LOVE IT. And I've got a friend who occasionally is cast in the secretarial pool, so I've been having fun this season playing "Spot the tiny blonde."
