My new large succulent is an echeveria shaviana "madre del sur", sometimes called a mexican hen, is native to Mexico 8) And it's just a hen, no chicks lol

d00d! I didn't know you're a cacti & succulent fancier, too! I'm about to divide pups from a bunch of specimens from my collection, and I've got plants that I can ttly take pads or cuttings from. (Mostly Haworthias - I have a thing for that genus. <3 <3 <3 I've got a gorgeous little Haworthia cooperi var. truncata with pups atm. Do you already have one? None of the online pics of them I've seen do them justice - they've got these gorgeous rounded tips that are sort of clear translucent. SO. PRETTY.) I'll totally share if you're interested in any of them. Just ask and I'll send you a species list.

Plus, I'm going to the semiannual Cactus & Succulent Show & Sale next weekend. Which: AWESOME. XDDD I can keep an optic out for anything you're looking for, iffn you want.

I juuuust started getting into succulents, I browsed pictures of echeverias and totally fell in love with them. I have seen that haworthia cooperi var. truncata at a few places, it looked and felt very unique compared to what I usually looked for. I love my crassula "springtime" plants, but they died..... they're way cute with their clusters of flowers in full bloom 8)

I'm always on the lookout for a really spectacular echeveria cante. I haven't seen ANY at the places I've been, unfortunately, but I haven't visited the cactus garden that I pass by when I commute between LA & Santa Barbara, so I'll definitely have a look at their selection sometime. 8D
