Castiel knew what Halloween was, but it's whole concept was easily lost on him. The costume part, definitely. How was he supposed to know? Clothing really was something beyond him. He'd been wearing the same outfit for the past four to five years. So he paused at the door, leaning in slightly to look for a familiar face.
"It's very calm." Castiel continued on, obviously unaware that talking about that kind of thing would make people feel weird. "It's a lot like Heaven was before Lucifer whined about not being our Father's favorite." He smiled, thinking it humorous, the brothers would think it was...or at least Chuck would have.
"So..." Elton began, unsure if he wanted to even finish his sentence at the risk of sounding like an idiot. He assumed Castiel was an alien. Not... or maybe angels were aliens? He'd heard those theories. He thought they could be plausible enough but didn't pay much attention to them. Or religion at all for that matter. Not since he was a kid anyway.
Castiel watched him for a moment. He didn't seem to get the joke, so he didn't press. It wasn't the last time he'd attempt and no one would match his humor. "Yes. I am an Angel of the Lord....or I was...sometimes I'm not so sure what I am. I've fallen so much that I wonder if I can call myself that, yet...I'm not like the others." He looked out at the group. They weren't angels, but it undoubtedly held the same sort of truth.
