I'm not a big fan of sports. In fact I think that sports bring out the worst in us, and what I see as the "sports mentaility" is, in my opinion, very destructive -- but that's another post.

That being said, I probably wouldn't have protested REAL's plans if they had been able to prove that it wouldn't be opperated at a loss to taxpayers.

I really like Peter. I was impressed with this decision as well as another recent (unpopular with many residents) decision to raise prices on refuse containers and make recycling free (previously it was $3/month which was still Waaaay cheaper than a second can). Anyway, it's nice to see a politician who doesn't just do what's popular but really tries to do what's best for the county!
