See that shark? Lost just jumped it. The first 5 minutes were interesting and then more.of.same. Questions on questions and all the pretty people couldn't keep me from yawning.
*L*! I wouldn't say that - but I agree that the first five minutes was a bit of a jaw-dropper, as in "WTF? The Others live on... WISTERIA LANE?!?!" *LOL*!
Come on... Sawyer in a giant monkey cage being trained to get food wasn't at least giggle-inducing? *G* And now we know where the polar bears came from... maybe - since they would require pools of water, esp. in the tropics... Although we now know (or think we know) that they have an aquarium.
I admit - once you decide that everything could be a setup and nothing is real, you find it hard to care what happens.
LOL @ Wisteria Lane :) Nope, I've given up Lost (and on Wisteria Lane as well... that one lost me last year). I've never missed an ep, but it's off my 'must see' list, I just don't care anymore. I'm really liking Saved with Tom Everett Scott (he played in that movie That Thing You Do that Tom Hanks directed). It's about 2 paramedics, and it's really well done. Also, I'm getting into Battlestar Galactica which is fantastic, of course House is still my fave, and I really like Heroes (as long as it doesn't get Lost on me), and Supernatural. Eric Kripke, who created Supernatural, said in an interview, that as much as he loves The X-Files and Lost, he, as a fan, got frustrated with the mythology and realizes the need to just tell a story and give the audience a satisfying conclusion. So while there are a lot of questions in the mythology of SPN, they will all be answered in a reasonable amount of time which is where I think TPTB have got wrong in Lost.
I'm still into House, but TPTB have made sure that the only time I've managed to try to catch the new season was... this Tuesday. *rolls eyes* I'd forgotten all about the playoffs! Actually I did catch one episode, but that's it, out of four.
I don't even know when SAVED is on! And the system I have right now doesn't get SCI FI, so - no BG. And I just haven't gotten into Supernatural... But I have put Heroes on my must-see list, so now I have a show to watch on Mon, Tues, and Wed - *G*.
But, there's always The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, and re-runs of South Park!
Ya, I hear ya. I almost gave up with the horrible Ana Lucia, but then they killed her, and the last few eps of S2 were okay, but they're up to their cheap tricks again so I give up. BTW, if you have any questions about Illy Cs2 fire them out, I know the program fairly well.
Sweet, thanks. Luckily, I only need to know black and white, since I will be making templates to etch fine crystal, no gradations, it's mostly putting text on templates and fine tuning of imagery that the customer provides, I downloaded CS2 with tutorials!
Really? Not even just curious just to see Dommie? I liked S1, I thought it was a unique concept, but they seem to have stalled.
I don't have much to say anymore, just been very depressed and can't seem to find my way, so I don't post much... no squee :(
I did work briefly on Elijah's movie Happy Feet (Imax was doing it in 3D, but Warner Bros. pulled the plug on it). I got to see a rough cut, it's very cute and a visual treat.
I still check in and read you guys every day though... wouldn't be the same without you.
Oh - I watched several episodes of the first season (like you said, I was curious). It wasn't bad, but it didn't engage my imagination; I found it too contrived. And I'm not crazy about Dom, anyway.
If you couldn't squee over Elijah and Happy Feet, I guess the squee is really gone. :( But you don't need it, luv. Share with us the everyday, ordinary things - the books you read, the movies you watch. You don't need to squee to be interesting, you know.
Meh, don't bother. Those 5 minutes I mentioned don't even have the main characters in them. The premiere is all filler, and I can tell you what the spoiler is if you want.
Oh, man, I'm glad it's not just me. I've had the last 2 episodes of last season on tape all summer, and just have not been able to motivate myself to watch them in time to be caught up for this season. So, needless to say, I taped today's show, and haven't watched it yet...
Heh, no it's not just you. My sister and I watched it faithfully from the start, and after the premiere we both went "meh, that was b.o.r.i.n.g". There's a lot of promising new stuff this year that is better worth your time. I really like Saved and Heroes. I think TPTB at Lost don't know what the hell to do with their characters anymore.
Oh, I'm glad there's someone other than me watching Saved. In all the season premiere hoopla of the bigger shows, I didn't hear a word about it. I caught it by accident, but the pilot ep was really good. They have some great characters started there. I hope it's around for a while.

I agree the folks at Lost seem rather lost themselves. I'm afraid it will turn out there *is* no point...
