There was actually several good aspects to his latest incident. The best of those were the remarkably peaceful sleep he'd gotten after returning to SHIELD Central and being in a fairly decent mood the next day. The one blast wound he'd received mid-transformation didn't really hurt either. The burn mark was small and already showed signs of healing

Since messaging Bruce to call her, Pepper had been on pins and needles. On one hand, she thought he'd get a real kick out of it and maybe she'd seem a little more human. On the other hand, she didn't know if he'd disapprove or be judgmental or anything. So far, both John and Claire had found it to be amusing..

Hearing her phone ring, she almost jumped. Looking at the caller ID, she answered it. "Hey Bruce, hold on a second."

She closed her door and sat back down. "I just wanted to make sure that no one else could hear me."

"Hello," he said before waiting. He moved over to one of chair in front of his computer. He was running a few tests, but it wasn't anything that needed much more than monitoring at the moment. "Understandable. What happened?"

"If I could remember, I swear Bruce, I'd tell you," she sighed, sitting back down at her desk.

Brushing the hair away from her face she tried to think about how best to word this. "Maybe I should start from the beginning. Do you know who Larry is?"

"That doesn't sound good," he murmured, leaning back in his chair.

Bruce frowned a little, rubbed his forehead as he tried to recall meeting anyone named Larry. "As in the Three Stooges?"
