Prompt: 48. Sour

“And we’re in for a freezing sou’wester tonight...” Says the weatherman. “I never understood why it’s a sour wester,” Says Rani, confused. “I guess because it’s a sour wind to experience?” I’m a bit thrown. I explain, “It’s not ‘sour wester’. It’s like the hat.” Now Rani looks confused, “I always thought that was ‘sour wester’ too, but I’ve never known why.” I decide it might be easier to write it down. “S-O-U-apostrophe-W-E-S-T-E-R,” I say. “A wind from the south-west.” Rani looks at the paper, “Ohhh... That explains a lot!”
