One of my greatest pleasures in life is growing and caring for plants. Right from the first moment of easing the young plant out of its pot, laying it carefully into the warm soil, filling the hole with compost around it. Watching it grow, taller and taller, reaching for the sun. Giving it food and water, watching it grow taller and taller again. Spotting the first flower bud, and seeing it finally burst into bloom, showing its colours to the world. Thinking, I did that. I cared for and nurtured that plant to be able to reach its full potential.
