This is very beautiful.

I am intrigued by the phrase "The type is known as the reclining Hermaphrodite." I don't see any male features. Do you know the reason why it's called in such a way?

Also the back of the head. Do you know if it's simply a part of headpiece, or some representation of the horn, or part of the braid?

Sorry for all those questions. Can I ask one more? :) Am I imagining things, or it's a lizard at the bottom of the second view (down from the shoulder)?

OK, thanks; probably this particular sculptor (or his patron) had stronger preference for Aphrodite than for Hermes. :)

Oh, this is such an inspiration!

A little flatter breasts, a narrower hip, and a bit muscular arms ... and I can totally see Hephaistion there :):):)
