"Awakening"

Admist all my total and complete love for this premiere in every single way possible, from the animation/art to the story to character development, etc.--I REALIZED HOW MUCH I LOVED THIS EPISODE DESPITE THE FACT THAT IROH DID NOT SHOW UP AT ALL. (the recap does not count)

Oh Iroh, please show up next episode, and in good condition.  ;_;

I cried when there was no Iroh. >_>

But, oh, the staff-burning scene? I REALLY cried. That was so sad, and, yeah, the whole "WTH Aang is STILL TWELVE and yet there is ALL OF THIS" thing got me too. Made of sad.

I know, I just--IROH. And I was annoyed when I believe--I think "Bitter Work" did not immediately cut to Iroh after his whole near-death cliffhanger in the previous "Chase." But he still showed up and was alive, and I was just a little annoyed they didn't immediately show him in the first scene while here HE DOESN'T APPEAR AT ALL (except in Zuko's self-inflicted anguish).

What I'm really hoping for in season 3? Something I've been hoping for a long time: Iroh vs. Ozai, just a throwdown between the two brothers.

OMG I KNOW!!! I would say everything I agree with you about, except, well, I agree with everything you've said. The Awakening was made of awesome. XD
