!!! SECRET HISTORY OF PAST FOOLING AROUND = awesome awesome, with its sort of matter-of-factness paired with wry faux denial. And the image is so great, Toby in Michael's chair turning around to Ryan, and "Carnival" and HAHA, Toby rearranging everything in Michael's drawers and how crazy Michael's accusations must sound! And Ryan's exasperation and Toby's mellowness in general.

Despite my persistent loathing of Ryan and my iffiness at where Toby's character is going in S4, you sold the hell out of them in this story. Toby's paraphrase of Michael and the freak-show attractions mention were my favorite parts. And now a teeny part of my soul ships Toby/Ryan, and I must blame you.

I'm glad you liked it. Nothing makes me feel better as an author than having someone that doesn't like the characters or pairing enjoy a story anyway. The freak show part was one of my favorite parts too. Thanks for reading!

Oh, TOBY. Ha, so I read this yesterday and couldn't find the words to comment until today, because !!! so GOOD. Wonderfully in character and heee, I really want to know what Michael labeled everyone else. And the BACKSTORY. Good lord, Toby/Ryan. Excellent. This fandom needs some more quality slash.

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it and to know that it was in character. I agree that this fandom could use more quality slash (the best one I've found so far was a crossover), and I've got a couple ideas for possibly future stories about this pairing. Thanks for reading.

Nicely done! I'm just going to echo the sentiment that there needs to be some more quality slash in this fandom because you just nailed it. This was awesomely in character and the whole secret past history? YES.

Oh man do I love this fic - even more so since I was just rewatching Toby's reaction to Michael's journal entry about Ryan. The lemon line does seem to describe Toby quite well and here is the rare case I like Ryan the Boss (cuz the temp would never consider using Michael's office in this way). I hope you write more of this pairing.
