This is response to an amazing poem that was posted very recently.  I was so floored by this poem and so saddened that I hadn't read Grace Paley's work before she was gone that I went looking around for more.  I only found one online, and here it is.

I can only find three of her poems online, the one I posted, the one posted here, and the one posted in the comments below.

I am so grateful that, by chance, I happened to check out "local news" for NYC and clicked on the link; I realized I'd never heard of her and never read any of her works but perhaps they were worth reading. When I stumbled upon the poem I posted yesterday, it was like being kicked in the stomach. [In a way that indicates a powerful, powerful poem.]

I wish I could have read her works while she was alive. I'll certainly be buying her collected works from B&N this weekend.
