I finally got approved for Google AdSense just minutes ago. For whatever reason, 4 of my very worst YouTube videos have "become popular." I got an email regarding each from Google telling me I could put ads on the videos, so for science, and profit, I am.

If you kept a blog somewhere on your own site and ran adsense, you might do well[ish] on it. For the seemingly few hits I ever got on my ads, they always brought in a decent number of coins each. Jer once told me his were only getting pennies per ad click, but his blog is just about whatever is on his mind. So I am pretty sure it depends on the content and how niche it is, one focused on woodworking might be rather niche. My posts about Dvorak keyboards and 3dsMax seemed to queue up pricier ads, though fewer clicks [but that might also be because I rarely updated it].
