Health updates and geeky introspection and planning

So, frustration has been the key work in recent days. No real improvement in pain levels or mobility, so it looks like this week I push on to the next level. One thing for certain, between pain and pills, my body chemistry and rhythm are fucked up again, I can't sleep at night, and I try going through the day until I start dozing off in the middle ( Read more... )

I admit, embarrassingly, that most of what you're discussing is beyond my understanding. You're a genius! It occurred to me that I've never owned or considered living in one place long enough to customize the space to such a degree. I have moved three times in Minnesota in 5.5 years. The longest I've owned a house was 8 years and even then, I only lived there two weeks a year because I was touring. My parents took care of the house. I wish I had your level of commitment. I admire your persistence.

HUGS!

I'm mostly just talking here, I don't have many here to talk to about this sort of thing anymore. I don't move around much myself, in fact, I moved once from where I spent my first 27 years on the planet to where I am now, a distance of about seven miles.

I enjoy reading your posts. It's just my understanding of electrical or mechanical systems is next to nothing. I always hope that dan4behr will come back more often, as he seems to understand what you're talking about. Sometimes, I wish I could contain the restlessness; other times, I feel like I'm static and it makes me crazy.

I actually heat mostly with passive solar and woodstoves, a heat pump picks up when that isn't enough, so it's not as bad. The bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen do have electric baseboard, but those are only used occasionally. Programmable thermostats kick them on in the mornings to take the chill out of cold bathrooms while getting ready for work, then shut back off. Two furry individuals have their own extra insulation too. :)

If only you could develop a Kodi/Snickles to electricity converter and harness that cuteness energy. *HUGS*
