Sorry the mouses done dug into your memories, but perhaps that's a long-term benefit? There is something...potentially organic about that. I've found, at least for me, sometimes grief stages are easier when inspired by outside events. Sorry either way.

I understand what you mean about your mother's coats. Over the years, I purchased my mom a mink cape and then a full length black sable mink faux fur (at an AIDS benefit silent auction); she adored them both, but seldom wore them. My sister doesn't want them and fur has become so verboten. I brought them back with me to sell here in Minnesota, but I admit, handling them opens up the floodgates ....

Sorry about the memories. I have Mom's Le Creuset Dutch oven that I need to find a way to get rid of the soot on the outside from being used on a camp fire a couple of weeks ago. It's enameled cast iron and is about 35 years old or so.
