Because of some changes, plus the expensive surgeries and other medical bills from last year, I instead found I am ( Read more... )

Lots of wonderful woots for you!! Tax wise, I had a small inheritance from my folks and I lived off of my 401K for the four months I was unemployed, plus my two jobs. I dutifully paid federal income tax on both, asked specifically ahead of time if I was meeting all of my obligations, and wound up having to pay state income tax on both. *sigh* ... So, bottom line, I owe on state and am getting back on Federal, almost a washout .... I don't think it's a woot, though ...

Good W00t's are always a good thing in my book. :-)

I got some $1100 or so back this year and paid off the credit card, and then put a dollar shy of $400 on the car loan so that was indeed a w00t in and of itself.

Thus it I think helped when I began the whole house buying thing I'm still working on. Got preapproved, and my FICA score that the mortgage lender got was close to my credit score, the lowest being something like 698, the highest 730, or 760 or some such, not bad!

Glad things seem to be moving forward in your life, and that's always a good thing.
