Yesterday, Mayhem Acres dodged a couple tornadoes. Ended up with lots of wind and buckets of rain, no damage. I have to clear a downspout on the house and two on the garage, they were waterfalls during the deluge. Time to head up on the roof with the pressure washer. That front moved by exceptionally quickly.
We didn't get the deluge of rain you got, and what rain we did have came through in just a few minutes. It was the preceding winds, some over 60 mph, that brought the 'wow' factor to us here down in NC.

Thank you for keeping us up on the goings on at Mayhem Acres! It's an odd thing this blogging deal. We 'meet' folks and get to know their lives yet have not been face to face.

The deluge reminds me of the storm that blew through Wilmington, DE in the years I lived there. 8 inches of rain in about 5 hours. Winds, flooding everywhere (including the basement of my house). The neighborhood looked soggy for at least a week afterwards. Gad, good times... NOT

I'm relieved that you had no damage there.

I'm going to see MAN OF STEEL on Sunday.

I've just made my way back through 50 posts ... The household is still asleep here at my sister's house. Colleen and I made it back from the reunion at 1am! If we have the energy, we'll take mom to College Station to visit Dad's grave for Father's Day. However, it's another 100 mile+ drive. It's good to be with family ... driving, driving, driving, that's my weekend! :)
