Friday randomness from the week and more

Mother Nature's "heavy flow days" continue to be a thorn in our side. While we remain high and somewhat dry, the garden languishes in a sea of weeds and tomatoes rotting on the vines. We will mount an attack to dig around and harvest the surviving veggies, then once it (eventually) dries up, till the spent stuff under and possibly throw a little ( Read more... )

I lived in the country for many years.

We had one black snake that kept getting into the washhouse - where the pump that gave us water was, along with the washer and dryer.

Finally had to kill it - a task that I did not enjoy.

Glad you were able to rescue some snakes, though!

Black snakes are good if you can keep them outside.They do a very good job keeping the rodents in check.

Are one of my favorite earth allies, sad to hear they're seeking out a hiding spot has them run so afoul in your "basement of serpent doom"

Altogether a good post with good news on the routes up north being open for the game. Yay!

I don't do snakes, you're a better man than me about them things. :-)

A little house cleaning goes a long way, don't it?
