Oddities, now with more randomness

Oh, the schadenfreude. Blogs everywhere are exploding with tasty news of "Reverend" (and I use that term with a heaping helping of derision) Ted Haggard, the leader of the influential National Association of Evangelicals, being caught up in a gay sex scandal. I'll pause for a bit to relish the moment just a bit more ( Read more... )

I feel very much the same way about the holidays this year. I have NO idea what I am going to do for Thanksgiving. I do want to go home for Christmas, but I have no interest in shopping or celebrating. I just want to be around people I love.

Undoubtedly I will be spending the holidays with Jeff's family. I have a feeling, however, that I might not be at the dinner table with everyone else. It might be too hard to take. I will try, at least. Otherwise, I would be most likely keeping to myself.

MINI's need all the love, attention and fun driving they can get. A neglected MINI is a sad MINI.

Interesting... I don't use either iTunes or WiMP for ripping/encoding. ;) Depending on what I'm doing, it's either (in decreasing order of sophistication) PlexTools Pro, CDEX or even occasionally VUPlayer. The only online music store I patronize is AllOfMP3.com because despite the name it's the only place I've found where I can actually buy music in OGG Vorbis format. To hell with what the RIAA says about 'em ( ... )

Oh, the schadenfreude. Oh the humanity! beartech420 November 3 2006, 05:24:09 UTC
Right as I was reading your post, the bbc came on with that news anouncement about the rev.! The cool thing is they canceled a press conference of pastors who were showing their support for him.

I hear you about the time change, doesn't effect me in the spring but really hurts in the fall.

Funny about your work bathrooms, when investors check out a company it's the first place they go.

Man white oak will burn really well!

What is intimidating about bandanas and do rags at the gym?

Hey bro, why not sit at the table for thanksgiving?
I got it your going for the kids table, they have all the fun. The last time I had thanksgiving with my whole family in my folks house we had about 42 people, I ended up sitting on the washing machine in the kitchen, the kids table was so crowded, I think it was one of my favorite thanksgivings because my dad was still alive.

Hey how's the puppy?

best regards,
pete

The schadenfreude has been misdirected for a long long time now so whatever, enjoy the mini-bliss.

After Emil passed away I spent the holidays with his family. I was lucky they were all so cool. The interaction was good. I broke down later, after finding myself craving that alone time. Balance.

I get out the hair clippers and set the length and just hope for the best.
