I knew I'd have no time to write for the Mary Sue challenge, but I thought y'all might get a kick out of a very special Mary Sue my friend danae_b and I wrote a few years ago as an April Fool's Day joke! We even created a special account with a fake name, and then watched everyone try to guess who we were.

Which was, of course, the exact thing my friend and I set out to parody! We planned it nearly a year in advance, which was when we set up our fake account!

We had another in mind that we never got the chance to do--a totally different story that explained why the Pippin of the Quest is often portrayed as behaving like a 13-year-old girl in fanfic.

We could not believe how long it took them to figure out who we were!

We'd put some pretty blatant clues in there for those who know us: "Ruby Boffin" was one of Dana's OCs, and of course "Lothlorien" is just Dreamflower in Elvish.

And Dana's idea for the unicorn's name had us howling at one another hysterically over the phone: "Elengil" basically translates as "Star-star"!
