Three Fandoms Walk into a Bar: challenge 201

Jan 16, 2013 12:44

I've been working on a two-way crossover with two of these fandoms already. This story has nothing to do with that one, except that the worlds just seem to naturally mesh...

Haha, that was fun! :-D Also, it's very easy to see how an evening at The Poison Apple and especially a meeting with Hook would convince even the most adventurous hobbit to return to the Shire! ^^

This was a very believable crossover - of course setting it in the world of Shrek immediately gave it a nice kind of credibility - and you really did a great job with giving the characters individual characterisations. Also, what an incredible backstory for Isengar Took! :-D

Thanks! Yeah, The Poison Apple isn't exactly the The Green Dragon or even The Prancing Pony!

I love the way the Shrek universe just melds so nicely into just about anything even slightly fantasy or fairytale oriented--hence the ease of adding "Once Upon a Time" to the mix.

(thanks for the tag)

Well, what can I say, I love me some hobbits, even if they are somewhat obscure to the rest of the world! I figured even readers unfamiliar with Isengar would at least pick up on the Took in his name!

Some fandoms just seem to be *meant* for crossovers; the world of Shrek is one of those--you can expect just about *anything* to happen there!

Thank you, Julia dear! I had a blast writing it and imagining who Isengar might meet in such a place!

Hook should be dangled by giants more often; it might teach him some humility. Or just punish him for being a jerk. Nice to see one of the most adventurous Tooks turn up! Good story!

I did so want to punish him for being a jerk. When he wants to he can be more charming than Charming is, but he's just so obviously all about himself.

Yes, I couldn't resist that Took who "went to sea in his youth"!
