Thank you very much for my story. I like it so much. Always felt Anne of Cleves very under-rated and rather remarkable at managing to stay alive!

I am so sorry that there is no chocolate or horses in it (I bet Sheppard would have loved to do a fic with chocolate and giving sarcastic comments about horses), Watson was very interested. But what happened is that well, my Henry muse shook his head, ignored all the chocolate research and said: I want this.

I am so tickled that you like it! I really like writing Anne of Cleves, but to have that perfect excuse to watch that ep and write Henry's thoughts as he held her. It was such an utter treat, so thank you!

lol - yes, it's that managing to stay alive bit which intrigues. :-)

This is very nicely done. Henry surely regretted it on some level and this is a very nice exploration of that.

Cue in the Bee Gee's song 'Staying alive' *grin*

I think Henry will wonder much later on - when his English Rose without a thorn betrays him - that he really let a gem of a woman go. What I appreciated in the tv show was the absolute horror of Katherine Parr who knows she cannot say no to a King, for her it was even more so a matter of staying alive and walking on eggshells..

Thank you for your comment :)

Thank you so much! I didn't wanted to write him as a maudlin man and I am glad that it worked. :)
