I admit I've not read the book, but this is a touching scene.

Alas, I haven't read it either, but the characters are engagingly presented and the image of a doll's dressmaker is evocative.

This is a very well-chosen little scene. Even though it's very short I felt I got a good feeling for the two main characters, so well done! :-)
