So I've been to the psychiatrist, and he gave me some samples of Lamictal, which is a mood stabilizer (yippee!) and apparently also an anti-seizure drug? That's what he said. Anyways, the mood stabilizing part at least is good, and I'll start on it tonight and hopefully I won't freak out too much about work tomorrow

Yep, Lamictal is both an anti-seizure and mood stabilizing drug. I've been on it for a few weeks now, and it's been good for me. I was sort of dazed and had trouble focusing for the first couple of days, but that's gone away.

I've generally been lucky with not really getting side-effects when I take meds, even though they stop working after a while and I have to switch stuff around. I just took the first dose last night, and I had a good day today, so *crosses fingers*.
