Might just be me here, but personally I don't think number three is going to work very well at unifying cultures.

Women did not have the same position in my day as they do in yours. I come from a very Patriarchal society, and as much as I'd love to indulge the rights of women, my men would not accept it. There would be a revolt.

However, I am open to suggestions.
