Sketching Under the Wire

Hello my lovely monkeys

Sadly it looks like the demise of Dresden files has been conformed.
Too bad I dug the show. On a brighter note I got “Storm Front” the first novel in the Dresden series from Amazon today. Looking forward to reading it, been told, by fans of both, that they are better than the show
In other geeky news I’ve been enjoying ( Read more... )

Thank you, thank you! Amazing what I can do when I get to avoid those tricky hands and faces.

very sharp... I especially like the kirby-esque hawkeye, and the highlighty/shiny bits across all of the heroes. - The cartoony one does have a "willow" vibe.

Ah the shiny spandex. ;)
Good ol' Hawkeye, always liked his costume, why he decided to wear a skirt for a while I'll never know.

Aw... No more Dresden? That is the TV bummer of the day. I'm glad Thor is looking up, though - he can be great when done right, and stink when not used properly. Like anyone, I guess!

Yeah it is a bummer, in more bummer-ness the two hour unaired pilot was apparently advertised as being on the DVD but wasn't, I was figuring on netflicking it once I read the first novel, since it's based on it, but oh well.

Yay, sketches! golbez57 August 10 2007, 14:05:03 UTC
What a treat for a fan of "Buffy", the Avengers, and noir stories! Thankee for sharing your latest creations.

I only know "Dresden" through the Sidekicks Lounge thread, but I know it had a lot of fans among my friends. As one commented, "SciFi has a habit of creating great shows, but has a s***** track record of sustaining them."

Still have to see the "Ultimate Avengers" movies before I see the "Strange" one. That was on my summer to-do list, and now it's almost fini. GAH! So much yet to do for a guy with more interests than time!

Thank you for the kind words.

I liked the first "Ultimate Avengers" movie pretty well, it took the bones of the first "Ultimate Avengers" but the characters were a bit more like their 616 counterparts, which for me was a good thing. The second one was OK, but didn't grab me like the first, which has the Avengers in a very cool knockdown drag out with the Hulk.
