Discussion: Gray and Juvia and the future?

Alright, so first let me say that I've finally changed the layout of this comm so check it out please gray_jubia! Profile too! I still need to make a new icon... It'll change again probably when we get some more chapters into this next arc... which brings me to the point of this post!

I'm still kinda new here, heehee.
I haven't fully caught up with the manga, but I'm okay with the pace this pair is going.
It wouldn't make sense to me if Gray all of sudden loved Juvia...I want him to fall for her slowly ;)
I'm looking forward to the new arc (once I've caught up xD)! :)

I'm really looking forward to this new arc. Since they're in competition with each other, we'll hopefully see them interacting a bit more.

Honestly I have been worried for awhile now that Juvia was meant to die. Her and Gray's relationship are not exactly the same but similar to Reina's and Musica's from Rave Master.

They both use similar magic - Reina and Musica used the same magic.

Juvia loves Gray - Musica loved Reina

They were enemies that ended up becoming friends-Rein and Musica while enemies through most of the series do set aside differences to work together before Reina dies.

So while not the same, the similarities are enough to make me worry....

Plus there is the fact that she is the only member of the Elemental Four to join Fairy Tail. And in my opinion if Mashima was going to bring her over to the guild, she would have a much bigger part than just showing up occassionaly to stalk or irritate Gray. So I am really worried that her "roll" is going to be to die and motivate Gray to become an S-class wizard and blah blah blah.

I didn't even consider Juvia could be the person in Charle's vision. :[ I just thought it would be the last guy chosen for the s-class competition since we've never seen him before... :\

First of all, love the layout. I've been meaning to iconise that manga panel of them, as well as the one on the profile, so you've kinda reminded me to get on that already. XD

I also was disappointed Lluvia didn't meet her edo!self or edo!gray. ;___; And I want her new hair back! I wonder why she reverted to her old hairstyle? XD And I completely forgot that Lluvia had already been S-class in her former guild! D:

In regards to the question, I'm not too sure if there's gonna be more development in the sense of Gray ---> Lluvia. While I would really love to see some serious development, without it always coming off as a crazy crush on Lluvia's part, I don't really get that feel from Mashima. There's always such a huge emphasis on nakama and Lluvia's feelings for Gray seems kinda like humourous relief. Perhaps if it were to gain another serious moment, much like when she was defeated by Gray, that I will start to hope more for this ship. As it is, I'll just fangirl over some of the pretty fanarts and the shippy moments we've gotten. XD

Oh! I actually forgot her edo!self's hairstyle was her former one. (My memory and attention span is rather shocking XD). I wonder if that was simply the reason? That she thought it would give her a bigger chance of having Gray be attracted to her?

You do have a point. XD I guess its just so easy to assume that he kinda is seeing how blatant her crushing on Gray is. I hope this arc allows for them to be teamed up this time around, and perhaps Gray will come to some sort of awareness.
