Oh man how tragic...my heart bleeds for his family. Don't beat yourself up for saying that to his brother, you were only being compassionate which is a very admirable quality. Even when things are not going to be ok, it still gets people warmth to hear that in trying times. I'm sorry about your friend, truly. R.I.P.

thank you all for your thoughts. i'd known bobby redd since i was seventeen, and considered him a close friend - but i hadn't known him nearly as long as a lot of other friends i have/had (he was in his mid-thirties). they're the ones that are really taking it hard.

please send the good vibes their way. he had a twelve year old son too.

nobody does just yet. he was missing for like, five days. they found his car in a swamp in sherwood, abandoned, on saturday. the cops didn't do shit, so some friends took off walking through the swamp where the car was found a few days later, and they found his body. it's still in police custody, awaiting autopsy results.
yes, it does suck. that's the one thing that's certain right now.
