[Offensive subjects] Well, I think Elphaba is mostly offended by close-mindedness, stupidity and obviously her skin. These aren't forbidden subjects though..they're just her hot buttons..lol

[Is there anything you need us to know about interacting with this character? Special physical features, special abilities, etc] Well, she's green skinned. She has no idea why and people staring/talking about it irks her.
Also, she's had little to no physical affection in her life. A hug is a rare treasure.
[Can I hack that strike or otherwise find out information they'd prefer to keep hidden?] Unless it's specified you can..no. Elphie's smart enough to know how to secure things she doesn't want seen.
[Can I troll/mindscrew/mess with in general?] Go ahead! Being green pretty much invites her to open mockery or alienation from her peers. She'll pretend it doesn't bother her and will fire off witty comments right back. Secretly though..it does bug her and unless you're actually her friend you won't realize it.
[Can I spit at/jinx/step on/etc? (i.e. fighting)] She's a Prefect so I doubt she'd willingly be goaded into a fight. She will defend herself if she needs to...though be careful because she probably knows a wider variety of spells than someone of her year/age would since she reads/studies all the time.
[Can I flirt with/hug/kiss/use other means of non-violent physical contact with this character?] If you flirted with her she'd probably think you were mocking her and not take you seriously. She's barely had any physical affection in her life so something as simple as a hug is usually pretty cherished.

Well, Elphaba's father is a politician back in her hometown of Tinsworth so she's technically from a very well-to-do family. You'd never know it though since her father dislikes her and instead dotes on her younger sister Nessarose.
Nessa is a year younger than Elphaba and attends Beauxbatons. The reason for this being that her sister is wheelchair bound and couldn't get around Hogwarts as well. Elphaba loves her sister and dotes on her.
