I enjoy twitter for the links and the updates on what celebrity types are doing. Nathan Fillion, Maurissa Tanchureon, Felica Day, Simon Pegg and Stephen Fry are among the people I follow. It's also fun for a quick 'I have five minutes to kill'. Though to be honest, I use twitter almost exclusively on my phone using Twitterific, I didn't hardly use it at all before I had a smart phone.
If you don't already know at least afew people who use it though, it's a bit useless. Like foursquare in that regard...
