Unfortunately, with the wind battering away at his bullets he can't redirect them as well as he'd like and without being able to open up warpholes he can't just drop them back into the proper arc. So he lets the wind knock them wild - they won't go far before vanishing and there's no one within range for them to hit anyway.
The jump, while annoying, doesn't catch Xigbar as off guard as it might have, once upon a very long time ago. So instead he shifts, instead of standing in silent shock. It's not much, but it's enough for the spear to (very narrowly) miss hitting him.
And since the shift brings him in close to Xaldin, he strikes out with the hand-guard of the nearest gun. Not a normal tactic, but since when have they been normal.]

Well. When he's standing on the ground properly anyway. About half the time he's one some other vertical. But right now he's standing on the ground, blood trickling down his leg, answering that smirk with one of his own before opening fire.
Xaldin may well skewer him for it, but he'll make the Lancer pay for the damage in pain and blood.]
