Yesterday upon the stair
I met a man who wasn’t there
He wasn’t there again today
Oh, how I wish he’d go away
- Antigonish, William Hughes Mearns
If Series 2 of Scott and Bailey proved one thing, it's this - Rupert Graves is so good at playing bad guys you don't even need him to actually appear...

Except you do, really.

OK - this is pure self-indulgence ( Read more... )

Very disappointing. And why should Dom, who seemed totally selfish suddenly decide to do something for his sister? We really needed to actually see Nick Savage being a threat to Rachel and more of a build up, rather than just used as ending for the series. I would have preferred it had the story been left with "could Rachel have attacked Savage" rather than it having already been proved she couldn't.

But then, for a series that's supposed to be about solving crimes there seems to be far too much emphasis on relationships for my taste.

So, no, Mrs Lincoln wasn't taken with the play.

I totally agree with the both of you!

I do have to admit that I thought the plot by Nick to kill Rachel wasn't the best idea they'd ever had but the resolution of that was RUBBISH. This was such a weakly plotted, badly thought through COP OUT that it really ruined an otherwise decent series.

I was OK with the original plot. Little far fetched but if he was going to try and bump her off that's the sneaky cowardly way he'd go about it.

And I could almost have excused the ending if itr had gone the way I expected - but Rachel just letting Dom run off after he confesses to her?

"Yeah, I cold-bloodedly beat a guy up so badly he died - but I did it for you, sis."

"Oh, off you go then."

No. No, no, no, no, NO. This is not the same as (say) John Watson shooting a cabbie. It was totally pre-meditated and unnecessary - and she let him go!!

How is that not going to come back to ruin her career? How?

Alright, I have to stop now before the nurse takes the internet away from me again...

Never a truer word spoken!
I know that Rachel had/has (depending on if there is another series) a tendency to speak and act before thinking things through (like a PNC check!)but letting Dom go really takes the biscuit.
If 'Godzilla' finds out that will be Rachel's career down the pan faster than you can say...Nick Savage was a nasty but ultimately SEXY beast.

SILLY...and from a show that is written by an ex-copper I would have expected more.

I would also have expected to see Rupert but nobody listens to me!
