Back at the hostel, met a couple guys who are canoeing from the (France)Atlantic to the Black Sea (Turkey). When waterways dont meet up they hike with their canoe across land to the next body of water. As i was talking to them, plainclothes Serbian immigration walks in to talk to them about their missing border stamp...

Well, it turned out to be a fifty euro fine. And a kinda funny story. But I'm gonna guess when you're two guys in a canoe going across Europe in the winter, this sort of story doesn't even make it on the top 10 list....

I'm glad it worked out for them (assuming a couple guys in a canoe had fifty euros). Can you imagine if you did that here in the US?
