Over time, I've tried to make peace with the idea that parenting has become an industry. Hugs. I wish I knew what to say. I teach and aide for kids like this in high school. Tim is amazing and will blossom even more. It will happen. Hang in there.

I have heard similar criticisms of ABA from autistic and neurodivergent grown-ups on Twitter, actually. I'm sorry it's so hard, I can't imagine what it's like but having challenges of charting new communication on top of regular parenting would overwhelm anybody. You love him and you look for the good--that's not nothing. *hugs*
